Mat Zo makes a huge impact with his recent EP release “Bipolar”. “It’s Yours”, one of the singles off the EP really stands out. The track is silky smooth and showcases what a quirky vocal loop can do to make a track stand out.

“It’s Yours” has relaxing synths and a great build. It packs enough bass to make it hit the listener’s ear. The attention to detail is phenomenal. It is harmonic to the truest sense.

Anjunabeats has really found something special in Zo. For listeners who haven’t heard his most recent guest mix on TATW; an effort must be made to do so, as it is a magical experience. For that matter, EDM fans should go out an buy the Bipolar EP.

2. DAVID GUETTA, SIA, NICKY ROMERO “WILD ONE TWO” [ORIGINAL MIX] (BIG BEAT RECORDS)

Release Date: 2012-02-14

It’s been awhile since David Guetta has made the top #5 chart, but thanks to a remake with Dutch DJ Nicky Romero, he’s done it this time with “Wild One Two”. Sia’s vocals are a great element of the single as well, as she brings it to life. This current banger is #1 right now on the Beatport charts.

The track spans various styles. You can really hear Guetta’s influence on the piano riffs. Romero comes through on the electro infused synths. It is a blend that not only makes the track “pop” friendly, but also amicable to the dancefloor.

This is great to see Guetta going back to his roots and work with a great new artist. “Wild One Two” is a prime example of the gaining popularity of EDM worldwide. It’s amazing what can be accomplished when you put enough talent in one room.

3. MICHAEL WOODS “AIRBORNE” [ORIGINAL MIX] (DIFFUSED MUSIC)

Release Date: 2012-02-10

UK DJ Michael Woods has hit it big with this one. “Airborne” is an quick rising progressive house anthem that is perfect for the large festivals. It is catchy and maintains a high level of energy.

The best part of the song is clearly the drop. There’s an electro riff that runs through this part and is balanced out by some melodic rhythmic tones. It really has the feel of a person getting ready to get launched into the air by a jet.

Woods has always been a solid producer in the EDM scene. He has somewhat maintained a humble presence, but his skills shine in this single. There’s no wonder why various top name DJ’s give him their full fledged support.

4. DAVID JONES “HEYA” [ORIGINAL MIX] (AZULI RECORDS)

Release Date: 2011-02-08

Italian DJ David Jones has released a massive house bombshell in “Heya”. It’s groovy, funky and has some great vocal pieces. It makes you feel like you’re in Ibiza in July; yet for many of us we appreciate its summer vibe as we stay warm inside by a fireplace.

The track is very organic in structure. A pan flute of sorts gives it a native Latin America feel. The continuous bass beat allows for even a slight tech house feel.

David Jones is really making some noise right now. He has a couple singles that are currently charting high on Beatport. This guy does house in a big way!

No wonder why Anjunabeats is the number one electronic label in the world. They simply have an amazing lineup of artists. This latest remix of Parker & Hanson’s “Afterthought” by Soundprank on the upcoming Anjunadeep album is classic. Vibe and sophistication reign supreme on this deep house hit.

The original version is pure trance bliss. However, Soundprank’s signature touch gives it even more character. The piano arrangement is incredible. This remix has a bit more depth with the addition of complex filters and reverb.
