Just in the time for Miami Music Week, some big name artists drop some big name tracks on EDM Charts’ Top #5! Rank 1 and Jochen Miller nearly have the “perfect” track. M.I.K.E. and Maor Levi collaborate for some Anjunabeats magic. Nicky Romero drops an electro banger primed for the mainstage in Miami.
1. RANK 1, JOCHEN MILLER, COSMIC GATE, SARAH BETTENS “WILD AND PERFECT DAY’” [COSMIC GATE REMIX] (HIGH CONTRAST RECORDINGS)
Trance takes over the top spot this week on EDM Charts’ Top #5 chart thanks to an amazing collaboration between Rank 1 and Jochen Miller. Where do you start when describing this track? This duo lays down a great instrumental that has been perfectly remixed by German duo Cosmic Gate. To add the cherry on top, Sarah Bettens sings her heart out with some smooth vocals.
This track showcases multitudes of layers and sounds. Cosmic Gate’s influence can clearly be heard, as the track has a bass driven twist. The build is crafted perfectly, combining electronically blended vocals with a pounding instrumental.
This is Rank 1’s biggest single since “My Enemy” which was released under the Anjunabeats label. Jochen Miller is the perfect counterpart as he brings to the track deep and piercing elements. This trance styled track is perfect for the festival.

2. M.I.K.E., MAOR LEVI “COULEURS DE SOLEIL” [CLUBSTAGE MIX] (ANJUNABEATS)
Surprise, surprise. It is yet another week that Anjunabeats has cracked the top #5 countdown. This time it is Maor Levi and M.I.K.E. “Couleurs De Soleil” from the best of our understanding translates to “Colors of The Sun” from French. It is a gorgeous rendition that received the stamp of approval from Above & Beyond on “Trance Around The World”.
This track reflects the sun itself. It is uplifting and smooth sounding. Trance and Progressive House are merged together. A very small female vocal loop give the track a sweet groove. True to Anjunabeats style, the melody and harmony are once again perfect.
Both artists through their discography have clearly made quite the impact on the EDM scene. Chalk this up as a great track that will keep rising up the charts.
3. NICKY ROMERO “SE7EN” [ORIGINAL MIX] (CR2 RECORDS)
If you’re looking for some dirty Electro House, than you’ve found the right track. Dutch superstar Nicky Romero pumps out another huge hit which is sure to be one of the headlining songs of Ultra Music Festival. Fans get to take in his reflection of Dirty Dutch.
The track is most notably recognized for its intense deep bassline throughout the instrumental. It is extremely high energy and quick paced. Quirky tech elements and vocals add to the complexity.
Romero appears that he cannot be stopped. He has literally been pumping out big hit after big hit. Expect Romero to be one of the stars to come out of Miami this week.
4. FEDDE LE GRAND, DENIZ KOYU, JOHAN WEDEL “TURN IT” [ORIGINAL MIX] (FLAMINGO RECORDINGS)
You know what they say? Put enough talent on a track and you’re bound to hit it out of the park. Le Grand, Koyu, and Wedel combine powers to produce a huge Progressive House hit. The track shows off each artist’s style with varying elements.
Addicting is probably the best adjective to describe this song. You have elements of heavy bass, a classic build up and tiny bit of vocals to make it complete. It also has a bounce to it, thanks to some cleverly placed kickdrums.
It is fun for fans to take in large collaborations like this. Artists get together and cleverly find ways to blend styles. Keep an eye on all 3 of these big names.
5. MORD FUSTANG “WELCOME TO THE FUTURE” [ORIGINAL MIX] (PLASMAPOOL)
Electro House is in the house with the latest single by young Estonian prodigy Mord Fustang. Fustang’s branded style shines through with his classic builds and unique take on electro produced elements.
It is very difficult to define the track. So many of the sounds are unique in their own nature. Synths are combined with analog type noise to produce a helicopter like effect. An unusual vocal adds to the track’s flow.
This song is just one part of Fustang’s latest EP release this past week. Being as young as he is, his producing skills will only continue to become more complete and profound. Expect Fustang to crack the DJMag Top 100 this year.
