Linnea, we really appreciate you taking time to chat with EDM Charts! We are happy and proud to have you as our first female artist on the site for an interview! Tell us some more about yourself, like where you are from, how you got started in the industry, etc.
Hi guys, I’m happy to be a part of it. I was Born in Sweden and have lived there most of my life but I have Danish nationality as my family comes from there and now I live in Budapest, Hungary.
Well I grew up listening to a lot of music. Basically almost everyone in my family has something to do with music. My dad is a great guitarist and there was always music playing in our house. So already as a very young kid I knew that music was IT for me.
Since I was 6 years old I went to music school in Sweden and I stayed there until I was 18 years old.
I was introduced to the EDM music pretty early as my brother was a fanatic of it and played Scooter, ATB, Sash! and many more on the highest volume at home ( poor neighbors 🙂 ). The music grew on me and I got totally hooked as well. And at age 13 our family went on a trip to Berlin for Loveparade where I saw Tiesto, Carl Cox and other great DJs doing their thing. I loved the atmosphere and wanted to be a part of if for years to come.
I saw the “Tiesto in consert” dvd in 2004 and was introduced to the song Delerium – Silence ft. Sarah McLachlan (Tiesto Mix). I was totally amazed and from then on I knew that EDM was the way for me.
At age 18 I got my brother’s old studio as a Christmas gift and from then on I started to record and play around with music for real and now I’m here living my dream.
What is it like being an up and coming female artist in the EDM industry? What are the challenges and what are the benefits?
I love being a part of the EDM industry. Every day is a challenge , you are always on the go with a new track. As soon as you have released a track you want to do a new one. And hopefully its being liked by the EDM family. I get such a rush from it and it makes me feel alive and very happy. If I have done something good i sometimes jump around in my apartment and scream from excitement.
Your upcoming single with Mat Zo “The Sky” is phenomenal. Please explain how the concept came together on both the production and vocal side, as well as what it was like working with Mat Zo?
I meet Mat on a club in Budapest last year where he told me he is looking for a vocalist. We agreed on doing a collab together. I had recorded the vocals before as I had an idea for a trance tune but thought that Mat might be interested to use them. He liked them and started to do this groovy tune to it. The track is new alternative and edgy direction.
I wrote the lyrics about a year ago. “The Sky” is about that great feeling when you first fall in love.
You feel like you are walking on air and you are a bit scared to open up but you know you have found your way home and there’s no better feeling in the world.
It’s a very personal text as It was my boyfriend who inspired me to write it.

You currently produce a radio show called “Auditory”. Describe the style of the show and how you go about narrowing down your tracklist.
I play everything from Trance, Progressive, house, Tech Trance on Auditory.
I use to choose the tunes that makes me wanna dance all night and makes me feel good.
If a track makes me head bang well then its a good sign 😉
Sometimes great tunes are left out as I only have a 2 hour-long show but I try to put in as many as possible.
The radio show sends every second Tuesday of the month on www.di.fm Dj mixes channel from 20.00-22.00 (CET)
Do you have any current touring plans for the summer? If so, what venues/festivals will you be performing at?
At the moment the tours are getting planned. You will most likely see me play in Europe and Asia in the upcoming months. Dates and City’s will be posted on my webpage very soon.
What other artists that you have not worked with yet, do you look forward to working with the most?
Oh there’s a bunch that I would love to work with such as Royksopp, Morgan Page, Delerium, Armin, Tiesto, Paul van Dyk ,Arty , Chris lake and the list goes on and on.
At the moment I’m working with Fabio XB. We shoot my first music video too it and I’m super exited for it. The whole collab has been such a great journey.
What is your current set up for DJ equipment at your live performances?
I love to work with pioneer CDJs 2000 and love the feel and sound of CDs rather than USB sticks…but who knows it might grow on me 🙂
What direction do you plan on going with in the future; more on the vocalist or DJ side? Or do you plan on doing something like NERVO, where you both sing and produce?
At the moment I’m working on my first Instrumental track where no vocals will be included. I’m really excited for it but I will continue to work as a vocalist as well. I want to explore as much as possible when it comes to music. My first Music video comes out within a month and last week I was with my dear brother in his studio to record for a new collab.
So there is loads of upcoming tracks for the near future.
Is there anything else you would like to tell your fans out there? Also, where can people purchase your music?
I want to thank everyone from all my heart that have been supporting me over the years. My goal is to make them feel happy and make them want to dance all night and day long. If I can do that then I’m a happy lady 🙂
You can find my tracks on iTunes, Beatport, Spotify and more.
