September has approached, and so has great music. Velvetine comes out as smooth as silk with their first major single. Max Vangeli & AN21 have a “booming” new single. Lange give listeners a “reason” to bump to his latest trance hit.
1. VELVETINE “THE GREAT DIVIDE” [ORIGINAL MIX] (ANJUNABEATS) Release Date: 2012-09-03
Where does one even start when trying to describe this great new track by the newly formed group Velvetine? It is a phenomenal trance production put together by the likes of Myon & Shane 54 and vocalist Aruna. It is dramatic in style and has all the elements to be a 5 star track. It relies on various elements of classic music, futuristic sound and has brilliant vocals.
The instrumental has a little bit of everything. Again, symphonic elements are mixed in with new aged synths. Aruna, like usual absolutely tears up the vocals. Her voice is layered and is gorgeous. It really is a different sound, that is refreshing to see in the trance scene.
Watch out for this newly formed group. They probably won’t pump out a ton of volume, but every track Velvetine releases will be hand crafted and perfectly executed. This diverse mixture of talent is a formidable force.

It is a roller coaster of soft interludes and pounding chorus.
The interlude is very intriguing, as it plays heavily on a piano riff. Vangeli & AN21’s thumbprint is all over this instrumental. The build is fantastic and the synths are wide and panoramic in styling.
Max Vangeli and AN21 are destroying the EDM genre right now. They just recently released an album titled “People of the Night” that is jam packed with great progressive house. These guys continue to rise and both will surely be in the top #100 rankings.
CLASSIC COLLABORATION: MIIKE SNOW “SILVIA” [SEBASTIAN INGROSSO & DIRTY SOUTH REMIX] (REFUNE RECORDS) Release Date: 2010-04-02
Miike Snow is one of the biggest, if not the biggest name in Indie acts. They have put out various albums and have a huge following. Their big single “Silvia” was remixed by Ingroso from Swedish House Mafia and all-star DJ Dirty South from Australia. It is one of the biggest remixes to ever be done in the EDM genre.
Take a moment an listen to the vocals. They are deep and really mean a lot when listened to. The remix on the instrumental is fantastic, and really plays heavily on looping and altering the vocals.
This remix is definitely one for the ages. You take two huge DJs and put them with a monster group like Miike Snow, and you have an instant hit. This is a track that can be found in many DJs libraries.

UK DJ Lange who has endless trance productions pumps out a beauty in “Reason” with one of the top #5 vocalists in the game Betsie Larkin. The track itself is both festival and club friendly. Larkin doesn’t dissapoint, as she lays down stellar vocals and the lyrics are well written.
The track itself is actually somewhat alternative in style, with some slight guitar styling. It is quick paced and will keep any crowd going. The music video is very cool as well, and is definitely worth checking out.
Both artists have been part of many productions and this is a cherry on top. Watch out for Larkin especially, as she has collaborated most recently with Ferry Corsten and Paul van Dyk.
