This week’s chart is full of Dutch domination! Above & Beyond keep their Group Therapy effort going with “Black Room Boy”. Armin van Buuren & W&W continue their expedition with “D# Fat”. John Dahlback show us some “life” with his latest progressive house smash hit.
Description: Above & Beyond continue to release individual original mixes from last year’s “Group Therapy” album. “Black Room Boy” just adds to the list of brilliant stand outs from the album. The track features the group’s stand out (and almost exclusive) vocalist Richard Bedford. The track has a little more a darker vibe to it than the typical nostalgic tracks from Above & Beyond. It truly takes a talent like Above & Beyond, to release an album over a year ago, and then re-release each track as an original mix.

Description: Armin van Buuren and the young Dutch duo of W&W collaborate on their newest track featured on A State of Trance 2013 “D# Fat”. This track is very hard hitting with a perfect mixture between bass and harmony. The track goes a bit techy during the interlude, which really ties it together in a unique and genuine way. W&W are quickly rising up the charts as some of the top DJs in the world.

Genre: PROGRESSIVE HOUSE
Description: If you’re looking for a melodic progressive house hit check out this new single from Swede John Dahlback with a wonderful remix executed by Australian’s Feenixpawl. Agnes provides warming vocals that anyone can take to heart. The focus of the instrumental is on the higher synths and chopped vocals that are looped. Watch out for Big Beat Records as they have been releasing a lot of stunning hits.

Genre: PROGRESSIVE HOUSE
Description: This countdown is surely dominated by the Dutch this week. Style of Eye knocks out a big track with “After Dark” with Tom Staar on the vocals. The instrumental is true to Style of Eye’s patented form. It is up and down, and little all over the place. However, this track is much more progressive than most of hits. Another example of a great release under Wall Recordings under Spinnin Records.

Genre: ELECTRO HOUSE
Description: The title is self-explanatory; there’s plenty of bass. You may recognize the name Justin Prime from his previous collaborations with Showtek. The track gets especially dirty in the chorus with synths racing up and down like a rollercoaster. The bass hits harder than most tracks, adding another great track to the portfolio of great electro house tracks over the past 12 months.
