Who’s ready for festival season? Cirez D brings the “thunder” with a huge techno banger. John Dählback drops a “nuke” on the progressive house charts. Daniel Kandi brings a “changing” sound to the trance world.
Description: Cirez D AKA Eric Prydz has been the man of 2013 thus far bringing the real, deep and less commercialized sound of techno back to prevalence. “Thunderstruck” is part of a new EP release, that has a solid warehouse feel to it. It features quick snares, some vocal chopping and of course the bass. This is just another element to be added to a brilliant portfolio of 2013 hits for Prydz.

Genre: PROGRESSIVE HOUSE
Description: John Dahlback is somewhat of an underrated performer in the EDM realm. However, he’s also one of the most consistent producers out there. With his first release under Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings label, “Nuke” is literally a dirty music bomb. With massive bass and big time synths, this is a solid first release under the new label.
Reminds Us Of: “Zeus” – John Dählback
Description: This track features Estiva’s massive rework of Daniel Kandi’s “Changing The World”. The track is so well re-done, as puts a great emphasis on Sara Russell’s charming vocals, and in addition the bass is even changed up helping give the listener a different perspective. This rework is a great collaboration of technical skills and harmonious vocals.
Reminds Us Of: “Wait Forever” – Daniel Kandi, Kardinal
Description: The legendary Finnish duo of Super8 & Tab hits the scene once again with a new trance drop under Anjunabeats in “L.A.” with Juventa on the remix. It a track that flows seamlessly in and out of builds. It’s much more harmonious then a banger, but the evenflow of the track is well appreciated. As usual, the track is well put together, which is nothing less than what we would expect from these legends.
Reminds Us Of: “Teardrops” – Super8 & Tab
Description: From the new album “Believe”, two techno all-stars in Adam Beyer & Nicole Moudaber collaborate together to release a solid techno production. If you’re looking for industrial, deep, filthy sound then this is the track for you. The bass driven production of Drumcode simply make it the best techno label in the game, and a top 10 one in the industry.
