EDMCHARTS_VOL107

1. W&W “THUNDER” [ORIGINAL MIX] (MAINSTAGE MUSIC) Release Date: 2013-5-20edmcharts_w&w

Rating: ★★★★★

Genre: PROGRESSIVE HOUSE

Origin: HOLLAND

Description: There may not be a more rapidly rising DJ duo in trance/progressive house than W&W (Willem van Hanegem & Ward van der Harst). Under Mainstage Music (a sub label of Armada) W&W have done nothing but pump out massive hits such as Moscow, The Code, Lift Off and D# Fat. Like the title suggests, the track brings the boom in the form of bass. With carefully planned interludes so that the track can literally catch its breath, there is nothing but literal firepower behind this banger.

3. ARSTON “ZODIAC” [ORIGINAL MIX] (PINKSTAR RECORDS) Release Date: 2013-5-27edmcharts_arston

Rating: ★★★★

Genre: HOUSE

Origin: BELARUS

Description: Fairly new up-and-coming artist Arston from Belarus drops a multi-genre track on listeners. “Zodiac” contains elements of house, trance and progressive house. What may be the most magical moment is the piano breakdown, as it truly captures the soul and emotional elements of the track. Having been brought to the scene on a large scale at EDC Chicago thank to Audien, listeners now have yet another name to add to their list of artists to watch.

4. ESTIVA “TEDDYBEAT” [ORIGINAL MIX] (ENHANCED RECORDINGS) Release Date: 2013-5-27edmcharts_estiva

Rating: ★★★★

Genre: TRANCE

Origin: HOLLAND

Description: Estiva heads up the third artist to highlight this week’s chart from Holland. “Teddybeat” is another great trance release from this Enhanced Recordings all-star. This track one of the sickest drops EDM Charts has heard in awhile for a trance song. What is most impressive about the track is how diverse it is, and this is true of Estiva’s entire folio of hits. Estiva is approaching top 30 status if he continues his epic productions.

Description: To round out this week’s chart, EDM house legend Roger Sanchez takes the #5 spot with “Troubleman”. This funk laced house track features the soulful GTO on vocals as a storyteller. The instrumental is addictive and vibing; it is the absolute perfect fit for a Miami pool party. Sanchez has been producing for years and any listener can clearly take in the attention to detail on all his tracks and productions. Buy this track and bump it in your car this summer!
