As we hit the midpoint of summer, the tracks are really heating up! Nicky Romero & Krewella leave a lasting impression with “Legacy”. Boom Jinx shows us some love from Anjunabeats. Cosmic Gate “crush” it with some banging trance.

1. NICKY ROMERO, KREWELLA “LEGACY” [ORIGINAL MIX] (PROTOCOL RECORDINGS) Release Date: 2013-7-15edmcharts_krewella

Rating: ★★★★★

Genre: PROGRESSIVE HOUSE

Origin: HOLLAND, USA

Description: Well couldn’t necessarily say we say this collaboration coming, but it sure worked out well between Nicky Romero and the trio of Krewella. This is easily a top 10 release of 2013 thus far. The beat is infectious with combinations of heavy builds and the patented dirty Romero synths we are used to hearing. The added elements of vocals from Krewella really bring the song “alive”. Let’s hope they do another collaboration, if this is any sign of what they can achieve together.

EDM Charts fans, sorry for the break, but summer has been crazy with travel, weddings, etc! Tristan Garner drops an electro bomb with “Molotov”. Fon.Leman give us a peaceful trip into “One Day”. Orjan Nilsen gets spicy with “Xiing”.

1. TRISTAN GARNER “MOLOTOV” [ORIGINAL MIX] (XTRA LIFE MUSIC) Release Date: 2013-7-1edmcharts_tristangarner

Rating: ★★★★★

Genre: ELECTRO HOUSE

Origin: FRANCE

Description: Tristan Garner takes over the #1 spot for the first time on EDM Charts this week with “Molotov”. This electro house banger is dark, grimy and very hard rock. It reminds us of Rob Zombie being up on the decks. The bass is pounding and searing all at the same time. Garner has been on a bit of  streak of late, leaning more towards the darker edge of electro house. We can’t argue though, as this gets you going.
