EDMCHARTS_VOL112

EDM Charts fans, sorry for the break, but summer has been crazy with travel, weddings, etc! Tristan Garner drops an electro bomb with “Molotov”. Fon.Leman give us a peaceful trip into “One Day”. Orjan Nilsen gets spicy with “Xiing”.

1. TRISTAN GARNER “MOLOTOV” [ORIGINAL MIX] (XTRA LIFE MUSIC) Release Date: 2013-7-1edmcharts_tristangarner

Rating: ★★★★★

Genre: ELECTRO HOUSE

Origin: FRANCE

Description: Tristan Garner takes over the #1 spot for the first time on EDM Charts this week with “Molotov”. This electro house banger is dark, grimy and very hard rock. It reminds us of Rob Zombie being up on the decks. The bass is pounding and searing all at the same time. Garner has been on a bit of  streak of late, leaning more towards the darker edge of electro house. We can’t argue though, as this gets you going.

2. FON.LEMAN “ONE DAY” [ORIGINAL MIX] (INTRICATE RECORDS) Release Date: 2013-7-8edmcharts_fonleman

Rating: ★★★★

Genre: PROGRESSIVE HOUSE

Origin: RUSSIA

Description: Fon.Leman breaks into the #2 spot this week with a mellow vibey progressive house track. The Russian has been featured on quite a few episodes of Trance Around The World and other radio shows, and this recent single highlights his skill level. The flow on the track is well balance and the slight integration of seemingly a riff helps give the track some funk and bounce.

3. ORJAN NILSEN “XIING” [ORIGINAL MIX] (ARMADA) Release Date: 2013-7-8edmcharts_orjannilsen

Rating: ★★★★

Genre: PROGRESSIVE HOUSE

Origin: NORWAY

Description: When you get a Orjan Nilsen track, you know it’s going to be quality and high BPM. This one definitely meets those standards. The track is blazing out the gate and emphasizes quick synths, chopped beats and of course some mid range bass. It’s already been highlighted by Armin van Buuren and is currently performing well on the trance charts.

4. FEENIXPAWL, JASON FORTE “TOGETHER” [MARCO V REMIX] (NEON RECORDS) Release Date: 2013-7-8edmcharts_feenixpawl

Rating: ★★★

Genre: PROGRESSIVE HOUSE

Origin: AUSTRALIA

Description: Feenixpawl and Jason Forte collaborate together to hit the #3 spot on this weekend’s countdown, with Marco V on the remix. “Together” highlights clever vocal loops and optimistic beats, that fall into a bass driven breakdown. The track reminds us very much so of Otto Knows in style, which isn’t too bad of a name to be associated with. This is a great track for the festival, with the right type of evenflow.

5. ALEXANDER POPOV “MOSCOW SUBWAY” [ORIGINAL MIX] (ARMADA) Release Date: 2013-7-1edmcharts_alexanderpopov

This proggy track has highlights chopped female vocals, some mellow keyboard synths and layered bass lines. Popov has clearly made it into the upper echelon of young trance producers.
