It officially one week away from Thanksgiving in the USA; and there is plenty to be thankful for this week music-wise.  This week’s chart features marvelous productions in the house and deep house genres. Californian Ricky Tinez comes trumpeting in to the top spot with high energy house. Salted Music’s Demarkus Lewis takes you to the deep spectrum of house on a soul project. Montreal duo Prince Club drop a bouncy deep house track, sure to fill any dance floor.

1. Ricky Tinez – Baby U’Know (Original Mix) (Something Else)

Kicking off a great week of music is “Baby U’Know”, a funky house, horn layered track. This week California-native Ricky Tinez sat down with EDM Charts to discuss this track and other happenings in his life. Check out the interview here. Between the constant vibe and the pumping trumpets, this is a high energy, pure house track, that is easily one of the best productions of 2014.

2. Demarkus Lewis – Give It To Me (Original Mix) (Salted Music)

Description: In 2004, Miguel Migs started his own Salted Music imprint. No stranger to independent and major labels, the founding of Salted Music was a more personal venture. The idea behind Salted is to have a creative outlet for releasing forward thinking; soul based electronic music that is not limited in tempo. Salted is a vehicle for upcoming and well-known artists who come across his path and catch his ear. Demarkus Lewis makes a very solid imprint on the label with “Give It To Me”. With a deep space type feel and dark, soulful vocals, the track really does goes off the “deep end” spectrum. This is a classic marriage of Motown hits house.

3. Prince Club – Good Club (Original Club Mix) (Toolroom)

Description: Canadian DJ & producer duo Prince Club formed in late 2010. The duo have been making some serious waves in the dance scene with releases on tastemaker labels; Defected, Snatch!, Made To Play & Toolroom. Their versatile DJ sets and impressive mixing skills have awarded them praise from some of the biggest DJs and they continue to strengthen their position as House music royalty. “Good Club” features sexy vocals, layered over brilliant piano rifts, that send a shiver down any listeners back. The house soul is kept alive with some deep hitting bass, cleverly filling out the track.

4. Billon, Maxine Ashley – Special (CamelPhat Remix) (Virgin)

Description: Billon was formed at the start of 2013 by London based producers Ed Butler and Robbie Lamond. Combining crisp, cutting edge production with a love of classic analogue synths, Billon create a sound that both nods to the past and looks to the future of electronic music, drawing influence from classic house, techno and UK garage. This style holds true on the CamelPhat deep house remix of “Special”, where we find some subzero bass thumps with a light jazzy piano rift.

5. Rucks – Find Someone (City Soul Project Remix) (SoSure Music)

Description: SoSure Music is a London based label laying its focus on authentic, underground house music instilled with warmth and soul. Rucks lays down a clever track, with circuitous loops, fancy vocal chops and simply a solid vibe. This organic track features remix masters, City Soul Project, who give this rendition any even deeper feel.
