Gobble, Gobble, Gobble! Happy Thanksgiving to all (for fans in the USA).  This week’s chart is heavily dominated by the deep house genre. Brazilians Drunky Daniels & Mateus B, as well as UK duo Audiowhores show fans why Toolroom Records is the talk of 2014. We also get to see a debut of a new Serbian trio, IDQ, off of Love Inc. record label, with a soulful house production.

1. Drunky Daniels, Mateus B – Fabulous (Original Mix) (Toolroom Records)

Off the Toolroom Records ‘White Label 01’ – the first in a brand new EP series, containing cuts from regular Toolroom artists and up-and-coming producers, this first EP includes Drunky Daniels & Mateus B’s on trend ‘Fabulous’. With a rather clever cheeky vocal chop throughout the mix and enough groove to for any house floor moving, this collaborative effort makes an impressive mark on the deep house charts. The track has international flare, with only makes sense considering it was cultured in Brazil, one of the most internationally diverse musical scenes in the world, with hints of house and Africanism.
Rating: ★★★★
Genre: Deep House
Origin: Brazil

2. Audiowhores – Sittin’ (Original Mix) (Toolroom Records)

Acclaimed UK House duo Audiowhores hit the charts with a deliciously deep offering, ‘Sittin’. Their second single on Toolroom reflects straight up house music with simple but interesting grooves, rocking drums and a great hook to top things off. This is one of many high quality singles put out by Graham Lord and Adam Unsworth, as their works have spanned across well respected labels such as Defected, Soulfuric, Peppermint Jam and many more. From a strictly objective viewpoint, Toolroom has been one of the most impressive, if the not the most impressive, labels for house music in 2014.
Rating: ★★★★
Genre: Deep House
Origin: UK

3. IDQ – It’s True (Original Club Mix) (Love Inc.)

Rating: ★★★
Genre: Deep House
Origin: Serbia
“It’s True” is the debut track from Serbian trio IDQ. It’s been extensively featured  by The Shapeshifters and the track has been well received both on Beatport and Traxsource, but also fans of soulful house. A smooth vocal hook is layered over crisp percussion and a killer bassline that is guaranteed to rock floors. This marks Love Inc.’s 10th release, as this label continues to grow and expand.

4. Joeski, Harry Romero, Shawnee Taylor – Get It Right feat. Shawnee Taylor (Dub Mix) (Defected)

Rating: ★★★
Genre: Deep House
Origin: USA
Description: Harry Romero and Joeski have had their respective successes in the house scene since the early nineties with dance-floor filling music, and ‘Get It Right’ looks set to continue that tradition. Between them they have had releases across a wide variety of labels, including their own imprints Bambossa and Maya, as well as Subliminal, Suara and now Defected. ‘Get It Right’ combines soulful and ‘feel good’ house with the darker, deeper sound playing across dancefloors worldwide for a perfectly balanced result. The Dub takes the vocals in a different direction; less intense, but with added reverb a bouncier beat, the track maintains the ‘old school’ sound.

5. Kenny Ground – True Story (Original Mix) (Witty Tunes)

Rating: ★★★
Genre: Tech House
Origin: Switzerland
Description: Witty Tunes label is a project taken on by Sideburn & Redondo based out of Washington, DC and Amsterdam. Kenny Ground best summarizes up the track, from an interview EDM Charts conducted with him this week, ““True Story” is one of the best tracks I have produced. I am very happy with the results. I love to use filters in my tracks. In this track I used different parts filtered with phasers that resonate the various samples. I wanted to create a very powerful track with a strong impact. I included a very addictive bassline and I did my best to make it as explosive as possible! It was not the first time that Mark Knight has played one of my tracks on his radio show! I am very happy about that!”
